Karadoo’s first fundraising platform, DonateMySchool, was launched in January 2019. It quickly became the UK’s leading crowdfunding platform dedicated to helping schools across the country to successfully raise funds for a diverse range of projects from new library books to whole new classrooms!

In 2020 DonateMySchool proudly played a critical role in the COVID-19 crisis, helping schools to find the financial resources to provide laptops for pupils to learn from home, and for supermarket vouchers for kids who would otherwise have received a free school meal.


In April 2020 Karadoo took InvestMyCommunity from conception to launch in just four weeks. We’ve grown fast since then.

The launch of InvestMyCommunity has taken Karadoo from being a niche player serving 30,000 schools to providing a suite of digital fundraising services to every community organisation in the UK, specifically schools, faith organisations, local charities, sports clubs and small businesses.

Together there are more than 1.5 MILLION of these valuable community assets providing a huge addressable market for us.

Each vertical withing the community organisations faces critical challenges:

  • For small charities and faith organisations, the declining use of cash is putting their revenue, and in some cases even their very existence, at risk.
  • For schools, state funding only covers the basic education provision and whilst schools want to do more and parents are increasingly willing to contribute, it has to be made really simple.
  • Sports clubs are critical to the physical and mental wellbeing of our society and they are always seeking to invest in THE best facilities.
  • Local businesses need capital to survive now, and maybe more importantly, they need to secure customer engagement to flourish in the long term.

InvestMyCommunity is building a complete digital fundraising ecosystem:

  • Right now, almost any organisation can digitise their existing donations or generate incremental revenue through InvestMyCommunity.
  • We’re shortly adding a mobile app and contactless donation terminals.
  • In 2022, thanks to our FCA authorisations, we will help eligible small businesses and sports clubs to secure community-funded investment from their own communities.

All of our clients have the option to benefit from InvestMyCommunity “Premium”. This unique service is designed to close the digital fundraising resource or expertise gap that most community organisation’s face, providing expert support to slash admin costs and maximise success.

Due to the rapid success of InvestMyCommunity, we have decided to shortly roll DonateMySchool into InvestMyCommunity from autumn 2021. InvestMyCommunity will be the UK’s only “one-stop shop” for the fundraising needs of any Community Organisation!

The Journey

Karadoo was incorporated in 2017, and in the autumn the directors successfully raised over £300,000 of seed funding in 2017 from new shareholders to add to their own considerable cash and “sweat” investment.

There have been notable milestones so far. And looking forward the directors have a clear plan for platform, product and market development so that InvestMyCommunity willbe the “go to” platform for any community organisation’s digital fundraising needs.

Karadoo Finance Limited – Seed+ Funding Round

Karadoo is now seeking £500k1 of Seed+ capital to invest in further platform development and marketing in order to accelerate growth. Around £100k has already been raised from follow-on investment and new investors.

The investment qualifies for the government’s Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) offering very attractive tax incentives for eligible investors – including a refund of 30% of your investment2.

Success so far has been built on a limited fundraising offer (donations) and with very little investment in marketing. The recent launch of a comprehensive strategic marketingprogramme is already yielding impressive results, with a rapidly growing pipeline of leads, and key wins being achieved.
